Calendar 2010

The Ambleside School of Hout Bay calendar features regular Parent Evenings, fundraising events, school-wide special events, Open Days for prospective parents and student involvement in outside sporting and cultural activities.

Key dates for the 3^rd term:

Parent Evening - Monday 19^th July, 6:30pm
Shakespeare Festival - 16^th to 20^th August
School Lunch - Wednesday 18^th August, 12pm
Appreciation Dinner - Friday 20^th August, 7pm
Parent-Teacher Conference - Monday 13^th September

Our third term Parent Evening will feature a presentation by a representative of the IEB (Independent Examination Board).  Ambleside will be proceeding to Grade 12 with the IEB curriculum, and this meeting is an opportunity for parents to find out more about what this means for their children.

We will also be holding our inaugural Shakespeare Festival this term.  The festival is a week-long schedule of events designed to bring the stories of Shakespeare to life.  Included in the festival are a medieval-themed School Lunch and our annual Appreciation Dinner.

Reports are not issued during the third term, but at the Parent-Teacher Conference parents meet privately with their child's teacher to discuss progress and any areas of concern.

Please remember our major fundraising event for the year is a performance of the acclaimed musical "Evita" at the Theatre-on-the-Bay in Camps Bay on the 18^th of November. Tickets can be booked via the School Office
