In 1987 a group of parents from a local church in Hout Bay,
with a shared vision for their children's education, started a school
in their pastor's home.
Challenging the Apartheid laws of the day, the school was opened to children of all races.
The vision that inspired this small group of pioneers was that the school would be a seed-bed for
future leaders, both in South Africa and other nations, and that the education provided would
start children on a life-long journey of delighting in life and learning.
Supported by parents, volunteers and teachers, the school grew rapidly from its first 9 learners,
and relocated to its current premises a few years after opening.
The school's affiliation with Ambleside Schools International has lead to even greater
growth and enrichment in the life of the school.
